We are Open with strict sanitization and social distancing guidelines.

We understand many have anxiety and fears regarding coming to the salon. Our plan to reopen takes into account all of those fears. If you are comfortable with the guidelines we have set, we welcome you and look forward to serving you. Our safety protocols incorporate standards set by the Massachusetts Governor and State Board of Cosmetology to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases, many of which we implemented in March prior to closing.

We are not accepting New Clients until July and no walk-ins at this time.

All appointments will be scheduled and confirmed ahead of time. We ask that you utilize our email calarenee@calareneesalon.com with your name, services needed, preferred service provider and any scheduling limitations. We will respond as soon as we can.

Please stay home if you are or have been ill. You may notify us by leaving a message 24/7 or email if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment.
COVID-19 Safety Measures
*Plexiglass shield at front desk
*Clients and employees, sanitize hands upon entering salon
*Social distancing between clients
*No coffee/tea or magazines offered at this time
*Sanitizing is top priority for us after each client and frequently in common areas
*Please come alone to your appointment
*Cancelation policy waved if you call us and you  are feeling sick or have been exposed to Corona Virus
*All clients and staff must have on a mask/facial covering upon entering the salon.

*All stations, tools and shampoo bowls are sanitized with approved disinfectants between each guest.

*Our team washes their hands frequently, per the safety guidelines of 20 seconds with soap and hot water, as well as between every client.
*Each client and stylist will be wearing a fresh smock or cape  during services.
*All hard surfaces like door handles, telephones and reception counters are disinfected frequently.
*We will refrain from any contact greetings. We look forward to giving handshakes and hugs soon.
*Only those receiving services are allowed on the cutting floor. Parents to minors should wait in their cars, friends and family are not permitted at this time.
FAQ
What can I bring to my appointment?

We ask that you come alone and limit the belongings you bring into the salon but recommend you bring your own bottled drink/snack.
How are you social distancing clients? 

Stations in our salons are 6 feet from the next. We will only perform services at every other station and every other sink.

We also have hanging wall barriers to assist with social distancing.
      Will  you be blowdrying/going under the hood dryers or washing hair after our service? 

We will not be performing styling/drying on existing clients at this time. Cuts will be done dry.

Color/Pintura will be processed and shampoo/conditioned and sent out damp.
Will you have Refreshments and my favorite magazine?

We have temporarily suspended serving beverages and offering magazines. 
Can I walk in to the salon for my appointment and wait?

There is no waiting permitted in the lobby areas. Clients are to call the salon upon arrival.

We will text you back when your stylist is ready for your appointment. 
What form of payments are allowed?

Checks, Credit cards and Cash will also be accepted.

If you would like to call ahead and put a card on file for contactless check out we will be happy to assist you.
How are you accepting gratuities?

Gratuity can be given in Cash, Check or using Venmo.
How do I purchase retail products when you reopen?

If you would like products please call the salon so we can get them ready with a credit card over the phone for quick pick up.

If you would like to make a retail purchase at your hair appointment please ask for assistance to limit contact with retail shelves.

With these guidelines and being closed for more than 2 months, we have limited appointment availability.

We are diligently working to open stylists’ books and stagger appointments to allow social distancing in the salons.
